Since 2015, with strong attention and investment in the field of infection control, more than 200 Getinge devices have been deployed in over 30 major hospitals in the southern region, particularly in key hospital projects in Ho Chi Minh City such as Children’s Hospital, Oncology Hospital – Facility II, and Hung Vuong Maternity Hospital.
 

The optimal screening strategy is to detect precancerous cervical lesions that may progress to invasive cancer (maximizing the benefits of screening) and to avoid unnecessary detection and treatment of those with transient HPV infection or benign lesions that are not at risk of progressing to cancer (minimizing the potential harms of screening).

• Almost all sexually active men and women will be infected with HPV at some point in their lives, and very few cases will progress to cancer.
• The Aptima HPV test detects E6/E7 mRNA of the HPV virus, which is specific for identifying clinical disease progression.
• Studies have shown that mRNA detection indicates the presence and activity of high-risk HPV infections.
• HPV DNA tests only identify presence of 14 high-risk types.

1. Aptima HPV – Maximizing Benefits
Identifying high-risk patients is a key factor in cervical cancer screening. Superior sensitivity means a lower rate of false negative. The Aptima mRNA test offers comparable sensitivity and significantly higher specificity than HPV DNA tests by evaluating the activity of the HPV oncogenes E6/E7.

2. Aptima HPV – Minimizing Harms
Minimizing false-positive results helps clinicians accurately identify patients who truly need colposcopy. The CLEAR study demonstrated that the APTIMA HPV test yields 24% fewer false positives compared to HPV DNA testing.

3. Aptima HPV 16 18/45 – Next generation HPV genotype

• HPV types 16, 18, and 45 are associated with 94% of adenocarcinoma cases and have been shown to carry a higher oncogenic potential than other high-risk HPV types.
• HPV type 45 ranks third among HPV types responsible for invasive cervical cancer. It has a prevalence of 0.4% among women with normal cytology results.

The Aptima HPV 16 18/45 test, by including HPV type 45, enables the detection of more women at risk for adenocarcinoma, while reducing the unnecessary impact of colposcopy procedures.

Acute Aortic Syndrome is a term used to describe critical conditions, including aortic dissection, intramural hematoma, and penetrating atherosclerotic ulcer. All these conditions carry life-threatening risks, with poor prognosis and an in-hospital mortality rate of around 30%, which increases to 1–2% per hour after admission. If only managed medically without surgical intervention, the mortality rate can reach 58%, compared to 26% with surgical treatment.

• Medical therapy is initially aimed at pain control, blood pressure stabilization, and risk reduction
• Surgical or interventional treatment, the current standard of care, is rapidly evolving and expected to become more refined in the future.

X2MT-X3MT - Compact and versatile, the light system is especially suitable for all types of surgeries.
FOCUS-MATIC technology allows adjustment of the light field diameter to a very large range without any reduction in central light intensity.
